Delete your Foddie account

You can delete your Foddie account and all the data associated with it at any time, from the app or by email if you no longer have the app installed.
1. Delete your account from the app
- Open the Foddie app and sign in.
- Go to Settings, then Account.
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
Your account and your data are deleted from our servers as soon as you confirm. This cannot be undone.
2. Request deletion without the app
If you no longer have the app, send an email to [email protected] with the subject "Delete my Foddie account".
- Write from the email address of your Foddie account, so we can confirm the account is yours.
- If you signed in with Apple or Google, tell us which one you used.
We delete the account within 30 days of your request and confirm by email once it is done.
3. Data that is deleted
- Account data: email address, display name, sign-in methods and preferred language.
- Diary data: meals, foods, symptoms, stress levels and personal notes.
- Analysis data: intolerance profile, insights, triggers and correlations computed from your diary.
- Programs and experiments: your diet programs, their progress and your food tests.
- Settings: preferences, reminders and the notification token of your device.
- Subscription status: the record of your subscription status held on our servers.
4. Data that is kept
- Anonymised analytics data, which carries no personal identifier, is kept for up to 24 months.
- Purchase records are held by Apple or Google under their own privacy policies. We have no control over them.
- Copies of your data that remain in our backups are permanently deleted within 30 days of the account deletion.
5. Your subscription
Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription. Subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google and must be cancelled with them:
- App Store: manage your subscriptions
- Google Play: manage your subscriptions
